At Disney Imagination Campus, we celebrate all teachers, but today during Inspire Your Heart with Art Day, we want to recognize the Art, Music, Choir, and Theater teachers around the country who work hard every day to change the lives of students in their schools. We are excited to recognize their achievements and accomplishments.
When teachers encourage students to express themselves and their learning through different types of physical, musical and visual art, they are preparing students with many skills that are applicable to their everyday lives.
Learning and experiencing the arts in school can broaden student’s horizons and create a lasting impact that enhances traditional coursework. Art brings people together in a way that bridges cultures and language. It enables communication in a new form that can inspire, motivate and guide students to appreciate the world around them. Through art, students learn to express themselves while also discovering how to observe and appreciate different viewpoints and perspectives.
Disney Imagination Campus offers a multitude of experiences that allow students to learn and express themselves through the arts.
Teachers can bring their student groups to Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort to not only learn techniques in choreography, intonation and design – they also learn fundamentals like flexibility in mind and body, critical thinking/problem solving, active learning and how to work together as an ensemble.
Students gain career insights into the performing arts by speaking with their Teaching Artist who is a working professional at Disney and in the community. Plus, participants will learn communication techniques that inspire diverse thinking and creativity through hands-on learning experiences in Disney Theme Parks.
This year, Disney Imagination Campus will be honoring 100 teachers who inspire creativity and imagination in their classrooms. We encourage elementary, middle and high school teachers across the country to enter our contest to win a $100 Disney Gift Card, OR, by submitting an inspiring essay, have a chance to win a trip to Disneyland Resort in California to take place during Teachers Appreciation Week in May 2023! This exciting weekend is full of once-in-a-lifetime moments that will inspire teachers’ creativity while celebrating their amazing accomplishments.

Teachers who are passionate about the arts can encourage students in their personal growth and become more confident in themselves. The difference starts in the classroom.
