Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway leads Selina Gomez, Darian Jackson, Veronica Venzor, and Justine Carberry, pictured above, are proud to return to Mickey’s Toontown, which they’ve called home since before the land closed last year for reimagining. (The full land reopens March 8.) “Toontown has always been a special place for me, it just feels like home,” said Darian. “Coming back, this is my legacy; it really is a piece of Disneyland history.”
In true Hollywood fashion, cast members were celebrated with an exclusive premiere, ribbon cutting and all, earlier this week before the attraction opened to guests. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Disneyland park general manager Kappy Thorsen told cast members. “We have a big week ahead and I’m so proud of all of you. Certainly nothing can stop us now!”
With each detail fine-tooned, cast members are proud to present their team’s hard work. “Getting to open Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway has really been one of the most exciting things to see come together,” said Veronica. “Seeing all the cast members from different lands come together … it’s definitely an emotional and proud moment.
